Installing and Uninstalling

Current Version: 5.20181113.2 (November 27th, 2018) (available for both Mac OS and Windows)
– Added United: Missions expansion

To install: Go to the download page and click the Steam icon. Download the game through the Steam app.

To uninstall: Go to your Steam Library, right click on the Star Realms icon and select Delete Local Files. Please note that uninstalling will remove all campaign progress.

System Requirements: Windows XP, 7, or 8, and almost any graphics card from 2004 or later.


New Purchases

To purchase the Full Version, click this link to go to the purchase page on Steam and follow the instructions. The Full Version lets you play online and unlocks Campaign chapter 2, as well as the medium and hard AIs, and the Pass & Play functionality. It also lets you purchase other expansions. It does not unlock any content associated with the expansions.

To purchase the Gambit Expansion, click this link to go to the purchase page on Steam and follow the instructions. This will unlock the ability to play with new cards in the VS AI, Pass & Play and Online modes, as well as Campaign chapters 3 and 4.

To purchase the Crisis expansion “Bases and Battleships”, click this link to go to the purchase page on Steam and follow the instructions. This will unlock the ability to play with new cards in the VS AI, Pass & Play and Online modes, as well as Campaign chapter 5.

To purchase the Crisis expansion “Events”, click this link to go to the purchase page on Steam and follow the instructions. This will unlock the ability to play with new cards in the VS AI, Pass & Play and Online modes, as well as Campaign chapter 6.


Restoring Prior Purchases

After a reinstall you will need to reconnect your app with our server. You do this by Restoring Purchases. After launching the game:

  • click Play Online
  • enter your username and password
  • click Log In
  • click your username in the lower-left corner
  • click the Restore Purchases button, and confirm, to regain access to your purchases.
